The Paradise Art Hotel

paradiselogoThe Paradise Art Hotel, a subsidiary of Saint George Lycabettus, is a traditional hotel in Chora, Andros which has been operating since the early 1900.

It was refurbished and literally transformed by the interior designer Angelos Angelopoulos into a hotel of high aesthetics.

The all-white reception desk is characterised by the extraordinary touch of Angelos and the collection of paintings and sculptures by contemporary artists of Andros.

Each room has a distinct thematic decoration from the nature of Andros and different colours, ranging from all white to vivid orange.

The rooms with the flowers of Andros, lilies, hydrangeas and roses, are pink and lilac-colored, whereas those with the fruit, figs, lemons, oranges are colored accordingly. Butterflies and roosters of Andros are to be seen in the rooms opening on the traditional courtyard, whereas country-style rooms have a view to the beautiful villages and the impressive marine-style rooms with white and blue stripes and particular details have a view to the sea.

The suites are provided with red roses and atmospheric icons.

Chandeliers "enveloped" into mystifying transparent material dominate the Hotel Lounge and the Privé Restaurant.

In the breakfast room, enjoy a rich breakfast of traditional Andros specialties and a panoramic view.

Adjacent to the breakfast room one can find the swimming pool , kids swimming pool and kids playground.

In the summer evenings the swimming pool area is transformed into an open air cinema where movies for all ages and tastes are projected.

In the gardens around the swimming pool, the villages and the monasteries of Andros provide scenery unique for relaxation and contemplation after a swim in the crystal clear waters. You can exercise playing tennis or table tennis.
Opposite the tennis courts a picturesque small church can be found for moments of peace and solitude.

Right next to the Hotel gardens, you can visit the Old Ice Factory Mantzavelaki, now renovated and open to the public as a Museum of Folk and Christian Art and as a conference and exhibition hall.

Throughout the summer months, events that aim at promoting the island's products and at preserving its traditions are organized in the Museum's premises, in the context of the Tourism – Culture initiative.

Andros is beauty itself, an island still in many ways magically untouched, still hiding secrets worthy to be discovered – so, just ask us!
